• The ordinary reading requires "optional sign + digits + optionally one decimal point" and allows at most 16 integer digits; beyond that the page suggests the digit-by-digit reading.
• Input preprocessing removes half-width and full-width commas, whitespace and underscores, so those separators never appear in the output.
• The decimal part is not rounded numerically; every digit is read straight as a Chinese digit.
• The digit-by-digit mode allows at most one decimal point, ignores a + sign and reads - as "negative".
• The uppercase reading uses numerals such as 壹, 贰 and 叁 with the place names 拾, 佰 and 仟, but it is still a "number reading" and is not handled under the yuan/jiao/fen rules for receipt amounts.
