Image Filters is the filter panel of the image workbench (?tool=filter), stocked with 20 built-in presets in 8 categories: portrait (Clear, Rosy, Cream), film (Vintage, Kodak, Polaroid, LOMO, Silver Salt), Japanese (Soft, Fresh), black and white (Classic Mono, Hard Mono), vivid (Vivid, Crisp), food (Food, Rich), cool (Chilly, Teal) and warm (Warm Sun, Aged Yellow). Every preset renders a 96px thumbnail from the picture you currently have open, so the comparison is instant; once one is selected, “Filter strength” (0–100%, 80 by default) sets how much of it is blended with the original. Filters go on non-destructively and can be combined with the sliders and curves of “Image Adjust”. Rendering happens locally in your browser.

It works on overall style, not on fine retouching: only one preset can be active at a time, so if you want two effects together, top them up in the colour panel.

Filters are rendered locally in your browser and the picture is never uploaded to any server; it is dropped from memory when you close the page.
