PDF Sign puts a visible signature appearance onto PDF pages. Draw one freehand, type a name and choose a font, or upload a signature image you already have and cut away its white background by threshold. Once it exists, drag it around the page preview, resize it with the handle at the lower-right corner, and decide whether it is written onto the current page, every page or a page range.

At heart it lays a transparent PNG over the page content. It does not create a certificate, a private key or an encrypted digital signature, and it does not verify who signed. Use it only on files that are yours or that you are authorised to sign, and judge for yourself — against your contract, organisation or jurisdiction — whether a visible signature like this meets the formal signing rules.

1. 01Create a signatureclick “Create a signature (draw / type / upload)”. Freehand offers black, blue or red ink; typing offers built-in font styles; for an upload you choose whether the white background is cut out.
2. 02Place it on a pageclick “Place on page”, turn to the target page, drag the signature box into position and resize it with the lower-right handle; when you confirm, that page and its relative coordinates are recorded.
3. 03Choose the scope“Placed page only” is the default; you can also pick “All pages” or enter a page range — the latter two stamp the same signature at the same relative position on every page.
4. 04Write it in and downloadclick “Write signature and download”; the tool rebuilds the document in the current page arrangement with the signature image written in, and the output is <original-name>_signed.pdf.

What the signature is

a visible image appearance is written, not a certificate-based digital signature; there is no identity verification, timestamp, integrity check or tamper-evident validation.

Editable file

the current PDF must be readable and editable; a file with an open password must be unlocked or opened with the right password first.

Scope

one run uses one signature appearance and one set of relative coordinates; when all pages or a range is chosen, every page receives the same position and the same size ratio.

Uploaded images

only images the browser can read; cutting the white background turns pixels transparent by a brightness threshold, and busy backgrounds or grey paper may need a threshold tweak or an image processed beforehand.

What it does not do

it is not a legal e-signature platform, does not verify signing authority, and must not be used to sign in someone else's name; when a certificate signature is required, use a professional tool that supports PKI/PAdES.

The PDF, your freehand strokes, the typed name and any uploaded signature image are processed only in the browser and written into the output file — nothing is uploaded. Make sure by yourself that you are entitled to use the signature.
